Fillmed’s range of products
Fillmed is the marketed brand name of Filorga Medical in the UK, launched in 2016. Fillmed’s vast range of products include dermal peels, injectables, and a wide assortment of skincare products.
Filorga’s products are so effective at combating aging effects because of the presence of a revolutionary compound – the New Cellular Treatment Factor. This compound is specifically formulated to stimulate cellular rejuvenation causing increased production of collagen and fibroblast – components necessary for the soft and elastic texture of smooth skin. All Filorga products also contain anti-oxidants that can combat the presence of damaging free radicals in the skin.
In a nutshell, let’s look at each product category one at a time.
Fillmed (or Filorga) provides a variety of fillers that act as minimally invasive and non-surgical alternatives for aesthetic enhancement of skin and other facial features that arise as a result of the normal aging process.
These fillers work by targeting depressed areas of the skin and add volume to these areas. The result is a marked reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and fine spots, particularly around the eyes. They also reduce the appearance of frown lines present on the forehead.
For areas like the jawline, cheeks and lips, the fillers add volume and “plump up” the skin above, causing tightening of the skin and giving it a firmer look.
Some Fillers also include the revolutionary Tri-Hyal technology which is basically a combination of 3 distinct types of Hyaluronic acid. The result is a combine ability to smoothen, add volume and sculpt you face in such a way that it’s natural and youthful beauty is restored.
These products are classified as skincare-related accessories. They are completely non-invasive and have the primary purpose of restoring facial glow and youthful radiance to your skin.
Serums & Boosters
Filorga’s assortment of serums & boosters is an effective mix of vitamins and anti-oxidants. These products are highly concentrated and have a strong focus towards combating aging effects.
But there’s more. These serums & boosters can also provide a shielding effect to your skin from the harmful effects of UV rays, in addition to substances like tobacco and alcohol. The result is significant protection from the onset of premature aging.
Wait, so is it safe? Can I use it?
All Filroga products are safe to use for people above the age of 18, provided they do not have pre-existing allergies or hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid. Additionally, pregnant and breastfeeding women should also abstain from using these products as there are known contraindications in this case.
Ok, so how do I use it?
For Filorga dermal fillers, the application can only be done by a trained medical professional. The procedure is quite simple and involves a consultation session where the sites to be injected are marked on the skin. Then, after disinfection of the site (with a suitable anti-bacterial agent), a local anesthetic can be applied to relieve any potential pain arising from the injection. After this, the filler is injected into the marked sites and based on the results, further injections may be made to ensure optimal performance of the product.
After the treatment, it is recommended that you should avoid exposure to sunlight, avoid going to saunas and playing intensive sports for up to 2 weeks. Also, avoid consuming any anti-coagulants in the 3 days following the treatment as they may cause additional bleeding and hinder the recovery process.
How long does this treatment last?
You have to keep in mind that these treatments are of a temporary nature. Since the compounds involved (particularly the hyaluronic acid) are eventually metabolized by the human body and removed, the results are not very long lasting.
A typical period of 4 to 12 months is the effective duration of this procedure, though the exact duration may vary based on the intensity and type of treatment performed.
Well that’s good, but how much does it cost?
The actual costs may vary from region to region as well the doctors involved along with the intensity of the treatment. But the price tag for a treatment as safe and effective as this usually costs around $550.
Some additional considerations
While this treatment is generally a very safe and non-surgical alternative towards aesthetic facial care, there are some potential side-effects. Since injections are involved, a small possibility of infections does exist, but with proper disinfection prior to injecting, this possibility can be eliminated.
Some temporary (and harmless) side-effects include soreness followed by redness and pain around the site of the injection in addition to hematomas and swelling. These effects should subside within a few days following the treatment.
We assure you that all products under the Filorga brand name are manufactured keeping in mind the strictest quality control standards and regulations.
