Many people are worried about their skin getting old before their time. This worry has led researchers to bring new solutions for our aging body skin. The term “Ellansé” is popular among people now a day. It is commonly known as an anti-aging treatment, which is increasingly pursued by many for glowing skin. Although there are other treatment options like Restylane, Sculptra, etc, all it depends on the person’s choice.

What Is Ellansé

It is an anti-aging treatment gel manufactured by Sinclair Pharma. Ellansé is composed of polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres, which is suspended in a water-based carboxymethylcellulose. It is temporary, non-pyrogenic, biodegradable, synthetic dermal filler, with the added advantage of a bio stimulator of collagen synthesis.

How does Ellansé work?

The protein collagen is produced naturally in the human body. It functions to improve the strength of skin, replacement of dead skin and strengthens joints and tendons. However, as the body grows older its production rate decreases. This decrease in production rate results in wrinkles, a sign of aging.

Ellansé is non-hyaluronic acid filler that is injected into the skin to restore skin. The principal component polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres make it temporary, biocompatible, non-pyrogenic filler. PCL is suspended in a gel hauler made of carboxymethylcellulose(CMC).

Two Steps process

When Ellansé filler is injected into the skin, it reverses the skin aging process in two steps.

  • In the first step, the CMC gel gives immediate shaping of the skin which lasts for 12 weeks.
  • In the second step, the PCL microsphere begins to stimulate the skin to produce collagen naturally. It peaks at 12 weeks to give the final results. This mechanism ensures the longevity of results.

Dermatologists use Ellansé filler to correct the facial fold, wrinkles, facial contours, and hand rejuvenation. The filler actually helps in stimulating the production of collagen in the human body. The difference between Ellansé and other fillers is that its power to stimulate the production of collagen in a human body helps in repairing the skin internally.

What makes Ellansé a better choice?

With the efforts of researchers, Ellansé has been made equally available to both genders. It can be administered to men and women exhibiting the aging problem. Its biodegradable material and biocompatible effect make it a better choice for adult patients. It can be effective for reshaping facial features and removing wrinkles, lines, and folds, rejuvenating and restoring the firmness of the skin. It is necessary to go through a formal checkup process before administering Ellanse. If a patient is pregnant, hypersensitive to filler, and with a history of hypertrophic scars or keloid scars must not go for this treatment.

Which Areas Can Be Treated?

Surprisingly the versatile nature of Ellansé makes it good enough to have a lasting impact. Although, it is hard to sculpt facial features such as china and nose yet it restores volume to the forehead. It can be administered on body areas such as temples and brow area, Cheeks, Nasolabial Folds, jawline, Nose, lower face/Marionette lines, chin, hands, forehead, etc.
